Alex Saltonstall
General Manager

Alex leads the management team of Cambium Learning Technologies, which includes IntelliTools, Inc., Kurzweil Educational Systems, Inc., and Acceleration Station™. Alex was previously the Corporate Development Manager at Cambium Learning, Inc., in which role he led the company’s acquisition activities. Before joining Cambium Learning, Alex was President of SearchSoft Solutions, Inc., a company providing recruitment, selection, and hiring software for K-12 public school systems. He was previously an Associate at Schoolhouse Partners, a venture capital firm focused on K-12 education, and a Senior Associate at The Parthenon Group, a strategy consulting firm. Alex received an A.B. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Arjan Khalsa
Senior Vice President

Arjan, co-founder and former CEO of IntelliTools, has long been active in instructional and assistive technology and a reliable voice for the field through national trade associations and in legislative efforts on Capitol Hill. His background is in education, spanning work as an elementary teacher to training teachers at San Francisco State University in a course called "Computers Without Fear." He served on faculty at U.C. Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science as a technology specialist and author of FOSS, the Full Option Science System. At IntelliTools, he was the lead inventor of IntelliKeys and a principle investigator on federal grants through the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. Arjan helped found the Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) and he is a co-founder and past president of the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA). He is a board member of the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), and contributor to the CoSN Accessible Technologies for All Students Initiative.

Michael Gorman
Vice President, Engineering

Mike joined Kurzweil Educational Systems shortly after its inception in 1996 as one of the original members of the Kurzweil 3000 development team. Since then he has been a senior programmer on Kurzweil 3000 for Windows as well as overseen development of the Kurzweil 3000 for Windows and Macintosh products. Today he directs product development and helps define strategy for the entire Cambium Learning Technologies product line. Mike has a B.S in Computer Science from Merrimack College.

Susan Arcuri
Vice President, Marketing

Susan joined Cambium Learning Technologies in 2007. Prior to that Susan worked for eight years at Houghton Mifflin Company School Division as Group Product Manager, Instructional Technology. Prior to Houghton Mifflin, from 1989-1993, Susan was the Product Manager for Silver Burdett Ginn and from 1989-1993, the Director of Marketing for Sunburst Communications. Susan holds a B.S. in Management from Pace University.
